Udoka went on to reveal that his mentor, Gregg Popovich was delighted to see him make the NBA Finals. He left him a nice voicemail to address Udoka’s impressive feat. And the Celtics coach did not disappoint in his first game in the NBA Finals.

The Celtics were down and out in Game 1. The Warriors took their sweet spot, in the third quarter and shredded the Celtics in that time. Going off on a 38-24 run, Boston was down big time. However, Udoka remained calm. He got his forces together and made the right plays.

With a 1-0 lead in the NBA Finals, Udoka and the Celtics will sleep well tonight. Winning on the road is the most crucial part of the playoffs, and Boston managed to do it right off the bat.
