LeBron James has heaped praise on his former teammate once again. Kyrie Irving dropped a masterclass for the Brooklyn Nets in their unfortunate defeat against the Boston Celtics. Kyrie scored 39 points as the Nets were close to wrapping up the victory before Jayson Tatum in literally the dying milliseconds snatched the win for the Celtics. His spinning layup got the Celtics across the line 115-114.

The drama around Kyrie vs the TD Garden fans only sparked even more. After Kyrie dropped a statement referring to moving on from his Celtics era, the fans were understandably ‘not quiet’. And that added spice to the contest as Kyrie showed the Boston fans the finger mid game. He also addressed the whole incident in the post game interview.

LeBron James makes a bold claim for Kyrie Irving

LeBron now has tweeted twice in favor of Kyrie Irving. LeBron showed love for his former teammate as he was stunned that Kyrie was not among the top 75 players. Kyrie is probably one of those players who deserved to be on the NBA 75th anniversary team but was not included. However, there is not much that he needs to prove in terms of his ability.

LeBron retweeted a post from DJ Steph Floss who said that someone needs to be dropped from the top 75 team to make space for Kyrie Irving. LeBron seconded that opinion with a 6 worded message as he can not believe that his former Cavs’ teammate is not in the Top 75, Damn shame he ain’t Top 75!”

LeBron James also tweeted about Kyrie referring to the top-notch performance by the Nets star. He tweeted, Young God-rie is so damn good at basketball man!!! INSANE SKILL!!”

LeBron and Kyrie were unstoppable together for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers drafted Kyrie in 2011. Three years later, LeBron made his comeback to his hometown. The duo played together for three seasons and were difficult to contain for any opposition. Eventually, they won the 2016 NBA championship together.
