To most NBA fans, LeBron James has established his name as one of the GOATs of the NBA. LeBron’s achievements through his long career in the NBA have resonated with fans around the world and also with his fellow NBA players. He often receives praise from his NBA rivals. Recently, LeBron’s former teammate and NBA star took a shot at LeBron on Instagram.

Former NBA star Richard Jefferson reacted to his former teammate LeBron’s post on Instagram. LeBron’s Instagram post included two videos that showed him dunking during a training session and then later in an NBA game. Jefferson reacted to the post by declaring, “Travel” in the comments section.

LeBron’s caption for the post compared himself to Michael Jordan and Tom Brady. LeBron captioned the post saying, “Shifting the culture, Mention me with MJ and Brady like you’re ‘posed to I’m standing next to rookies, somehow they looking older. The altitude of matter so cold, it’ll make your nose run. How you expect to get love if you don’t show none?”

Jefferson partnered LeBron at the Cleveland Cavaliers between 2015 to 2017. He won an NBA title with LeBron and the Cavaliers in 2016. The Cavaliers traded him to the Denver Nuggets in 2017, where he played a season until his retirement in 2018.

LeBron James and comparisons to Michael Jordan

NBA fans, analysts, and commentators compared LeBron James to NBA legend Michael Jordan even when the former played high school basketball. LeBron had huge expectations placed on his shoulders by fans as they called for him to live up to the hype. The Los Angeles Lakers talisman has himself admitted that he idolizes the former Chicago Bulls superstar.

LeBron once credited Jordan for his love of basketball saying, “I think I fell in love with the game because of Mike”. Jordan won six NBA titles during his career, while LeBron maintains a tally of four NBA titles. It remains to be seen if LeBron can match his idol’s lofty successes.
