Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is considered as one of basketball’s greatest legends, despite having an active career. He features regularly in debates by NBA fans regarding the ‘greatest of all time’ title. The Lakers’ power forward has played in ten NBA championship finals and has four NBA championships to his name. LeBron has inspired many children across the world who aspire to make it professionally as basketball players.

One of them, a 14-year-old boy named Anthony, a resident of Canada, had something to say about his idol. Anthony was the beneficiary of his neighbors’ generosity, who noticed he did not possess a hoop or net to play with. The Canadian neighborhood came together and graciously bought Anthony a hoop. LeBron James noticed this class act and re-shared Anthony’s story on his Instagram story with some encouraging words.

Anthony expressed his amazement at LeBron James‘ message on ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’ saying, “When LeBron James saw that, that just completely blew my mind, like I wanted to pass out on the spot right there and like, yeah, that’s it right there. So like, it was just like, it was kind of insane because LeBron is like my idol. He’s the person who I’ve always looked up to.”

LeBron and Lakers suppress Memphis Grizzlies threat

The Los Angeles Lakers fought their way to victory against the Memphis Grizzlies in a closely contested game. This was the Lakers’ first victory of the season after two difficult defeats to the Golden State Warriors and the Phoenix Suns. The Grizzlies, on the other hand, suffered their first loss following two victories against the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Los Angeles Clippers.

Carmelo Anthony was in splendid form, scoring 28 points for the Lakers. Anthony Davis contributed 22 points while LeBron James added 19 points. Ja Morant’s 40-point haul powered the Grizzlies but was not sufficient for a comeback in the dying minutes of the game.
