The Los Angeles Lakers are gearing in for a comeback season after a horrific effort last season. Failing to make the playoffs, LeBron James has shifted his focus on forming a Lakers roster fit to compete. Likewise, the King has been making his rounds around their Summer League Games to get an idea of the talent. However, James is so locked in that he couldn’t spare anytime for the fans. Not even a youngster who was desperate who get a high five from LeBron. And fans weren’t happy.

As one of the greatest players in the history of the NBA, James has one of the biggest fanbases in the world. And for the most part, LeBron does his part in making the fans’ day. It could be a simple handshake or even taking a photo, the four-time league MVP always makes them a priority. However, there are times James has other things on his mind. In such cases, the Lakers forward doesn’t keep interaction with fans anywhere on his priority list.

Unfortunately, a young fan came across the King on such a day. Despite his repeated attempts, LeBron just didn’t fulfill the young fans’ plea for a high 5.

LeBron James leaves young fan hanging

The Los Angeles Lakers have immense pressure riding on them this season. The 2020 champions had one of their worst regular-season campaigns last season winning just 33 games. LeBron isn’t one to miss the postseason many times in his career. Likewise, the Akron Hammer doesn’t want to stay out long. While there are rumors of him pushing for a Kyrie Irving trade, LeBron is also focusing on the young talent. He made his way to San Francisco to watch the Summer League match-up between the Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.

The entire area was hyped to see the four-time NBA champion enter the building. However, what they didn’t know is LeBron didn’t have time allotted for the fans. A young fan learned this the hard way as he desperately tried to get a high five from LeBron James. But the Lakers forward didn’t even look in his direction. Likewise, NBA fans called out James for his treatment of the youngster.

While James didn’t impress the fans, the Lakers are doing just the opposite. Now 2-0 in the Summer League, they beat the Warriors convincingly at the Chase Center. The score line reading 100-77, the purple and gold now beat their opponents by a margin of over 20 points, Scottie Pippen Jr. has been the mastermind behind their success. The two-way player once again came up huge with 15 points, 8 assists, and 3 steals. Big man Jay Huff has emerged as a reliable rim protector swallowing 3 shots to go with his 10 points. Cole Swider came out sniping as he scored 16 points swishing 5 of his 8 threes.
