The Lakers suffered another blow on their way toward the play-in. They have slipped to 10th in recent games after being stuck at the 9th seed for a long time. LeBron James once again put on a show with 39 points. One more time the Lakers as a team could not capitalize on that performance.
It was the same old season-long story for the Lakers. They have either been in a deficit of around 20 points at the end of the first quarter multiple times this season or they have blown leads of a similar point difference. Although LeBron’s point-scoring form has been off the charts and absolutely exceptional, he has not been able to ‘carry’ the team to wins.

LeBron had been playing the last 8 or 10 games with constant discomfort in his knee. LeBron also slipped on his ankle during the game against the Pelicans. Although he shrugged it off and continued the game, he admitted that it does not look good. The fans weren’t having any of it after another disappointing display from the Lakers. Criticism of LeBron James was just the obvious aftermath of it.

Lakers troll LeBron James after he makes ‘Westbrook like’ error
LeBron showed another individual performance for which he would’ve been praised a lot only if the Lakers had come out on top. With his 39 points on Sunday night, King James crossed 37,000 career points. But as it is evident, that it was an ‘individual’ performance. The Lakers still lost by 8 points after blowing a 23 point lead in the game. The fans obviously are furious and do not spare any error even if it is by LeBron. However many came in defense of the legend as well.

Russell Westbrook has been under the sword all season. He has been subject to a lot of criticism for missing such shots and chances to affect the game in a positive way. The Lakers have not been playing like a team. The individual brilliance from LeBron is taking them nowhere.
