LeBron James’ Fans Left Fuming After Kevin Wildes Makes A Compelling Argument For Michael Jordan As GOAT

There is no end to the debate between Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Both legends have been relatively silent when it comes to calling themselves the greatest. However, during an All-Star interview, LeBron said he became the greatest player after completing the 3-1 comeback over the Golden State Warriors. However, some analysts did not take this well. And a recent take by Kevin Wildes has LeBron James’s fans furious.

There is no doubt in the fact that both LeBron and Michael are two of the greatest players to play the game. While one is the most complete player, the other is one of the best scorers and most fierce competitors in NBA history. Both of them are legends of the game and paved the way for many of the younger generation. However, there can only be one pick.

And Wildes picked Jordan by making a compelling case of how LeBron isn’t even close yet.

Kevin Wildes says LeBron James isn’t even close to Michael Jordan

On a recent episode of ‘First Things First’, Wildes spoke over James saying he is the greatest player of all times. While addressing how James leads in most statistical categories, he gives a counter saying Jordan didn’t play as many years as the King. Moreover, he points out just how far ahead MJ is by creating a whole new player.

He said: “I’m going to invent a player here. A guy with 2 championships, 2 finals MVPs, a league MVP, three All-Defensive teams, one Defensive Player of The Year, and 9 scoring titles.” He continued, “That’s the difference between LeBron and Michael Jordan. It’s like oh it is close, it’s not. It is a full hall of fame career better.”

-Quitting twice
-Not being good enough to be drafted high out of HS or 1/2 years of college
LeBron was literally competing with pros at the same age MJ was cut from his HS team.

Jordan was one of the most ferocious two-way players in the league. And there still is no player who can score and defend the way he did. However, to hold James’ other statistics against him does rub in the wrong way. While James has fewer scoring titles, he has scored more points in a more efficient manner. When it comes to defense, James is short of a DPOY, but an argument can be made he should have won it over Marc Gasol who made the All-Defensive second team as compared to James’ first.

Hence, considering achievements might not be the best way to approach this debate. LeBron still continues to play and is on top of his game. With him still in the league, the debate of Jordan vs LeBron James keeps getting hotter.
