LeBron James Finally Reveals His Initial Road To Greatness Without Trainers and Facilities

Making it into the NBA is no joke. Out of the thousands of college students waiting for their big moment, only a handful of them makes it into the NBA. Interestingly enough, NBA superstar LeBron James talked about the hardships he had to face to make it big. Talking about his rookie year, LeBron looked back upon the grueling practice sessions. Furthermore, he reflected upon how life was back then without the facilities and personal trainers.

LeBron James reflects upon his rookie year

There is no denying LeBron James is one of the greatest players the NBA has ever had. He has 4 NBA titles to his name among various other individual accolades. However, it is his longevity that makes him greater.

Despite being in his 19th year in the NBA during the 2021-22 season, he was in no mood to stop. LeBron had one of his best seasons in terms of scoring. He averages 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists this season for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Reflecting back upon his rookie year with the Cleveland Cavaliers, King James had a lot to say. He said, “My rookie year, I go home, take a nap. I go back to the gym at 5:00, go eat dinner. Sometimes, I go again before I go to bed.”

James added, “I just wanted to be great. And I didn’t have an on-court trainer at the time, just had assistant coach. Assistant coach meet me at the gym, rebound for me, you know, use cones and chairs and sh*t like when we was kids. “

Thanks to his efforts during training, LeBron turned out to be one of the hottest talents during his rookie year. The Cavaliers selected James as the 1st overall pick during the 1st round of the 2003 draft.

LeBron wasted no time as he quickly set his intentions straight. He was here to conquer the league. A young LeBron scored 25 points in his first game and was also the youngest player to score 40 points in a game. King James ended the season with an average of 20.9 points, 5.9 assists, and 5.5 rebounds.
