It is a happy day in the Lakers office as they got their first win of the season. In a close fight against Memphis, some crucial buckets helped the Lakers to their first victory. Carmelo Anthony was on fire the entire night, looking like his vintage self. Things were not looking good for the Lakers throughout the game. Lead changes were a common sight in this game, as both teams had their runs. However, with the Lakers being at a disadvantage going into the 4th, all hope was lost. However, Melo came to the rescue, not missing a single shot.

LeBron James says his ankle is a little sore

During a defensive possession for the Lakers, Dwight and LeBron were trying to prevent a bucket. While they didn’t succeed, both stars went down on the floor. While Howard got back up from his fall, James held on to his ankle. The ‘King’ did not get up for a good amount of time, causing worry around the Staples Center. But soon he stretched his leg, and he seemed fine to go from there.

When the question over his injury came up, James said he just hoped that he didn’t injure his ankle again. He also said that he wanted to take time on the floor to check whether the injury was getting worse. LeBron said that he hopes he will be ready to go after appropriate treatment.

LeBron James said: “The first thing I was thinking to myself is not again. Because obviously it was almost kind of similar but not the same kind of play. I fall on into my leg and there is nothing you can do about it. I couldn’t get my leg out in time, so. So just wanted to try and take a moment on the floor just you know, hopefully it wasn’t getting worse. I had an opportunity to tie my shoe again to see if I ccould continue to go and I was able to continue to go. But its a little sore right now.”
