Celebrity appearances in big sporting events around the world are not new to the fans. Many superstars can be seen enjoying a different sport other than the one they pursue. After Brock Lesnar’s domination of this year’s WWE Royal Rumble, an old video of LeBron James attending a WWE event has resurfaced.

An 18-year-old LeBron can be seen enjoying himself during a Monday night RAW event that year. His appearance at the WWE event came a few days after making headlines during the NBA draft.

Just a few days after getting drafted into the NBA by the Cleveland Cavaliers, then 18-year-old LeBron James treated himself by visiting the WWE Royal Rumble. In the video, we can see a young LeBron enjoying himself.
The commentators announce, ” The hottest new signing in the NBA, “King James”. LeBron James, #23 of the Cleveland Cavaliers, here tonight.” The commentators’ words give us an idea of how LeBron was already a huge star in only his first week in the NBA.

Savannah Brinson, his future wife can be also seen alongside LeBron. During the event, James takes a picture of Stone Cold Steve Austin on his flip phone! Not only did James get to watch WWE live, but he also had the opportunity to go backstage.
He met WWE stars like Goldberg and also signed merchandise. Over the years, LeBron has given us hints of his fondness for WWE.

One of the most iconic moments in LeBron James’ glittering career is the comeback against the Golden State Warriors in 2016. When the Cleveland Cavaliers were down 3-1 against the Warriors, he was seen sporting The Undertaker’s shirt.

WWE superstar Triple H also had a very interesting way of congratulating LeBron. After James led the Los Angeles Lakers to the 2020 NBA championship, Triple H congratulated the team by sending them a WWE title.

James is a Stone Cold Steve Austin fan, which is evident from his fanboy moment during his appearance on Monday Night RAW all the way back in 2003. LeBron had a special tribute for Stone Cold on his birthday.
King James wore a “LeBron 3:16 shirt” on the lines of the iconic “Austin 3:16” of Stone Cold.
