This NBA season has been riddled with several player injuries already. But none of the teams have possibly felt it more than the Los Angeles Lakers. Most of their players have displayed persisting problems like that of Anthony Davis.

Another team from LA that is also suffering losses due to injuries, the Los Angeles Clippers announced that the two-time NBA champion?Kawhi Leonard would miss his third consecutive game. His problem with his right knee has compelled him to miss out on another game.

With the apparent fall of Leonard, fans have hilariously responded that it was the “Battle of the LA hospitals”. They trolled both Kawhi and Anthony Davis for their absence and perpetual health problems.

Why is a Clippers player being equated to Anthony Davis?
Leonard reported that he experienced stiffness in his knee and had taken immediate action. The treatment of his knee took time, and the Clippers confirmed that it would take even more time before he returns to the court. The Clippers are now 2-3 for the season so far, while the Lakers sit at the bottom of the table with a 0-5 record.

Los Angeles Lakers?star Anthony Davis also missed a huge chunk of last season, 42 games to be precise. In 2021, he missed 46 games due to injuries. Over his decade-long career, he has not played every single game in any of the seasons.
Davis’ injury problems have ranged from a calf strain to a stiff back, to a groin injury, and to a sprained anterior cruciate ligament. Davis acknowledged the problems with his health and said he aspired to be healthy to play every game. LeBron James?also came to AD’s rescue and told the media that the player has to do right by his body.

Earlier this month, Kawhi Leonard stated that he got stronger during his recovery time. Unfortunately, his comeback though doesn’t seem to be sustainable.?Both Davis and Leonard are undoubtedly great players.
LeBron James‘ Lakers have clocked in a significant injury history already. They certainly can’t afford more risks. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers also likely need to exercise more caution with their players.
