James called Morant ?a flat-out star? and implied that his ascension as an All-Star since getting drafted should have prevented him from winning the MIP. He also took shots at the sportswriters and broadcasters who voted for Morant to win the MIP as he said. ?Real basketball brains know. Not the majority of dweebs who don’t even watch basketball on those voting ballots.? LeBron said in another tweet, “Ja too special to be in a MIP conversation.”

Simply put, James believed that many people undervalued or disregarded the Grizzlies’ youngster by including him on the MIP list. However, he isn’t the only one who feels this way. When Ja Morant received MIP, many supporters claimed the same thing.
