LeBron James once changed his profile picture on Instagram to that of the late great Kobe Bryant to honor the legend after his death. LeBron once again updated his profile picture recently, this time to honor rapper Takeoff. Kirshnik Khari Ball, a.k.a Takeoff, was killed in a shootout at a bowling alley in Houston on November 1st. The incident stunned the world, with celebrities and individuals coming forward to pay their respects to the Migos artist.

At roughly 2:30 in the morning, the tragic incident unfolded outside 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston. A video of the incident was posted by TMZ.com. The Los Angeles Lakers paid the tribute to Takeoff by playing his music through the warmup session before their game against the New Orleans Pelicans. However, LeBron James wanted to pay his respect further, so he changed his profile picture on Instagram. The gesture demonstrates LeBron’s love for the hip-hop industry. James added a photo of Takeoff in a black suit, tie, and iconic black glasses.
