The debate is eternal. Jordan has won 6 NBA championships in the game’s history. Rightly, the two three-peats with the Chicago Bulls remain unbelievable. That is a feat that may not get repeated. On the other hand, LeBron James leads Michael Jordan in terms of almost every stat. He is the only player with over 10,000 points, rebounds and assists each. The dynamics of the comparisons are so complex that it may never settle.

NBA Twitter erupts for LeBron James – Michael Jordan GOAT debate

LeBron and Jordan, both have passionate fan bases. At every chance to back “their” GOATs, the fans pounce on the opportunity to put forward why either of the two is the undisputed GOAT. This time the fans had their say regarding the teammates both the legends shared the line up with throughout their careers.

The Chicago Bulls number 24 was Bill Cartwright. He had an unorthodox style of shooting the ball. Although it was different, he finished his career with nearly 13,000 points. The fans jumped on this opportunity to compare the support the two GOATs had over the years.

It is true that Bill Cartwright was not among the best players. But he has 12,713 points, and he was not the poorest player. Naturally, Michael Jordan had an excellent support system with Scottie Pippen on his side. Not taking away the utter dominance MJ had for an entire decade, but talking as if his teammates were poor is not fair to them. Conversely, LeBron James had the opportunity to play with few of the best in the history. But this does not take away any of his multiple individual achievements.
