Looking at the recent events, Michale Jordan and Scottie Pippen don’t look like a dream duo. However, in their time together on the floor, they were unstoppable. A perfect blend of offense and defense, the Bulls duo won six championships together. While they may have settled the competition for the best duo, Jordan is still fighting for his GOAT status with LeBron James. And recently, the King chose his partner to take down the almighty Bulls duo.

The Chicago Bulls weren’t a great team before the entry of Michael Jordan. Ever since his rookie year, they started to garner success. However, it didn’t translate to winning until Pippen came in. After Scottie developed into a premier defensive facilitator, the duo dominated the NBA. Getting two three-peats in a matter of eight years, they revolutionized the one-two punch game for the modern NBA. But are they unbeatable?

Jordan was unchallenged for the title of the best player for the longest time. His reign with the Bulls seemed to have solidified his position on the top of the mountain. Jordan and Pippen have a great balance between them. They both understand each other’s game and beat any opposition. However, with Jaes’ selections, the outcome can’t be assumed too quickly. Kyrie and James in action are almost dream-like. Their time together on the Cavaliers is proof of their prowess as an offensive duo. They both even became the first pair to score 40 points each in an NBA finals game. With Durant, he is one of the greatest offensive weapons the game has ever seen. The Nets star’s near 7 feet frame makes him an unstoppable force and he would be a tough challenge for both MJ and Pippen.

As for Kobe, he gives something Durant and Kyrie can’t, which is intense defense. The 12-time All-Defensive selection could have helped tremendously in weighing down Jordan and making it hard for him to score. Combined with LeBron James and athletic game, any of his 3 partners would be a great choice.
