Teammates make up a big part of success in basketball. Having good players around can change the entire dimension of the team. Moreover, it also allows the players to make a bond as they compete. Likewise, LeBron James and Anthony Davis became close when they teamed up on the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, James’ recent actions just how tightly-knit this duo is off the court.

AD came to the Lakers back in 2019. It was the most anticipated trade at the time and had everyone in shock. The purple and gold had to trade a good part of their young core to acquire Davis. However, it all ended up being worth it. In the first season itself, LeBron and AD led the Lakers to the 17th title in franchise history. Davis played a crucial part while LeBron took home finals MVP.

While they are a power-packed duo on the court, off the court it is no different. Both the Laker stars are close when it comes to their families and are frequently hanging out with each other as well. Recently, LeBron wrote something that further proved the depth in their personal relation.

Halloween week marked another special event for Anthony Davis. His daughter, Nala Davis, celebrates her birthday and turned four. AD uploaded a picture to his Instagram to celebrate it as she is dressed in her Halloween attire. Interestingly, King James took notice and posted an IG story, saying, “HAPPY BDAY NIECE!!! *Heart emojis*”

This shows just how close AD and LeBron are in real life. While these two stars work together like bread and butter on the floor, it is no different off the court either. They share a special bond with one another that goes beyond basketball. It is great to see players have great relations outside the court and embracing each others’ families.

LeBron has always been the one to welcome new teammates. Let it be with Anthony Davis or with Russell Westbrook. The ‘King’ always does his part. He often invites teammates over to his house to celebrate an ocassion and make their bond stronger. When it comes to family, both Bron and AD know each other very well at a personal level.
