LeBron James Showers Praise on Son Bronny James’ Teammate Amari Bailey- ‘Congratulations Nephew’

After winning the NBA title last season, LeBron James and the Lakers certainly had high expectations for this season. Retooling their side with some newer players like Dennis Schroder and Montrezl Harrell, the Lakers looked all set to defend their throne.

But injuries crippled the Lakers’ season. With LeBron and AD out with long-term injuries in the regular season, the Purple and Gold slipped off to the seventh seed. This trend continued in the post-season as well.

With Davis suffering from an injury against the Phoenix Suns, the Lakers eventually crashed out in the playoffs. After an uncharacteristic early exit, Bron and Co. have been in a much-needed off-season.

LeBron James praises son Bronny James’ teammate

Given the off-season he has ahead of him, LBJ has had a lot of off-time available. He can either be seen promoting his upcoming movie or cheering his sons Bryce and Bronny in their basketball games.

Be it him coaching and encouraging them in the sidelines or celebrating Bronny’s buckets, LBJ does it all. Not only Bronny, but LBJ certainly wants the best for all his son’s teammates as well. In a recent tweet, LeBron took to twitter to congratulate his son’s teammate Amari Bailey who was recently crowned as California Mr. Basketball.

Bailey who plays with Bronny in the Sierra Canyon School, is also a guard. The 17-year-old is arguably one of the most talented players in the team and has already committed to the UCLA. Given his talents, Bailey is touted as a first-round pick of the 2023 draft class.

Bronny James, meanwhile, has been developing into a promising shooting guard. Standing at 6’2″, the James Jr. has already shown incredible vision and shot making ability as well. With a promising batch of players cropping up for the upcoming draft, NBA fans can’t wait for players like Bailey and Bronny show up in the league.

Given how long a player like LeBron James has aced the game, it will be fascinating to see whether we will see the father-son duo play with each other. Can LeBron James stay at the top of his game for the next two years or is father time finally catching up on him?
