LeBron James is one of the greatest players to have played the game of basketball. The Los Angeles Lakers superstar is going into his year 20 of the NBA, but still shows no signs of slowing down. Just last year, he averaged more than thirty points a game, becoming the oldest player in the league to ever do so. Throughout his career, LeBron has reinvented himself whenever the need arises.

During the early part of his career, he was a score-first guy. Then, as his game evolved, and he changed teams, he began to focus more on passing. During the 2019-20 title-winning season with the Lakers, he led the league in assists for the first time in his career. When we went to Miami, he had to learn how to play with superstar teammates, and he did that too. As LeBron moves toward the end of his career, it feels like nothing is left for him to master on the court. But it looks like LeBron still can surprise us.

That’s right LeBron James. If he doesn’t sign an extension with the Lakers this offseason, he is a free agent in 2023.

In case he decides to leave the Lakers, he can go to any team of his choice. Cleveland might be in play with their young roster, but they are a few years away from contention. The 76ers could be an interesting option come 2023 if the Harden experience is not working. But in all of this, a reunion with Pat Riley and the Miami Heat would be the dark horse to bet on.
