

LeBron James has been the face of the NBA for many years now. The four-time NBA champion has had his fair share of controversial moments like any other superstar. One of the most controversial moments was when he was accused of being too arrogant.

Fans accused LeBron of being arrogant
James, alongside many others, has his own chain of expensive shoes. While playing for the Miami Heat, LeBron released his LeBron 8V/2 around Christmas. The other superstar shoe on the market at that time was Kobe Bryant’s Zoom Kobe VI which was selling for a lesser price.

When asked about the $30 difference between both the shoes, LeBron James had a very arrogant answer. James answered, “Because it’s LeBron’s shoe. It’s got my name on it. I take pride in my shoes every year and I’ve always taken pride in having the best shoe. So they’re going to cost a little more if you decide to wear them.”
This comment by LeBron James made a section of fans angry who considered this answer by LeBron to be very arrogant and unnecessary.
LeBron James’ most controversial moments
Although LeBron has done his best to stay out of the negative side of news, he has had his controversial moments. James once infamously confiscated a tape of him being getting dunked.
This incident happened at a skills academy, where a college kid named Jordan Crawford dunked on James. According to CBS News, Nike and James went all out to confiscate the tape in order to not hamper LeBron’s reputation. This incident could not stay hidden for long and it caused widespread trolling for LeBron.

In the 2009 Eastern Conference Finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers lost the match to Orlando Magic. LeBron lost his cool and left the match without shaking hands with the opposition, which caused widespread criticism for his post-match antics.
