NBA Twitter reacts to Kyle Kuzma’s game-winning shot

The Washington Wizards’ game against the Chicago Bulls had Wizards fans erupting in cheers for NBA forward Kyle Kuzma. In the Wednesday night game against the Bulls, Kuzma made a fadeaway shot with 5.7 seconds remaining. Before the game-winning three-pointer, both teams were tied at 97 in the fourth quarter. Kuzma helped the Wizards win the game by 100-97 bringing their tally up to 18-24. The 2020 NBA champion, who joined the Wizards in 2021, is currently averaging 21.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assist.

While fans can’t stop praising Kuzma for his splendid performance, many pointed out the fact that Kuzma had relatively improved following his departure from the Los Angeles Lakers. When the 27 year old forward was in his last season with the Lakers, he was averaging 12.9 points and 6.1 rebounds. However, his stats dramatically improved the very next season with the Wizards as Kuzma averaged 17.1 points and 8.5 rebounds.

This caused many NBA fans to hold Lakers superstar LeBron James responsible for ‘holding Kuzma back’ from reaching his full potential. Below are a few of the comments.

Whether or not LeBron’s Lakers were barring Kuzma from getting better on the court is up for debate. However, amid all that, new reports regarding the 4x NBA champion might indicate a possible LeBron and Stephen Curry pairing in the near future.

LeBron James might soon don the Warriors jersey

With the trade deadline less than a month away several speculations regarding the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers player swap has been coming up lately. According to Sean Deveney from Heavy Sports, an NBA executive hinted at a blockbuster trade for the Warriors that includes trading Lakers superstar LeBron James and Warriors’ Jordan Poole.

“If they want to win now, you can give up Poole if you are getting back LeBron, right? If they keep Draymond [Green] and come back with Steph [Curry], Klay Thompson, Draymond and LeBron, that would be a fun, fun team to watch,” the NBA executive told Deveney.

The defending champions of the 2022 NBA season are shockingly quite behind in the Western Conference rankings with just 20 wins out of the 41 games played. On the other hand, King James is seemingly in the last years of his NBA career and it is only a matter of time before he announces his retirement. Given that the 38 year old NBA superstar might want to play his last few seasons with a winning team, the potential trade option might not be too bad for LeBron.
