During the Philadelphia 76ers’ media day festivities in September before the NBA season started, James Harden shared some news that made headlines. His weight loss journey was discussed in an interesting manner.?

It appears as though the All-Star guard has taken some steps in the off-season to lose weight, as he was often criticized in the news regarding his weight during the previous season. Harden claims that he lost over “100 pounds” during the off-season in order to prepare for the 2022/23 season.?

?This last year and half, I really wasn?t healthy enough to put the proper work in like I?m used to,? Harden explained. ?This summer was huge for me in that aspect.? He also mentioned how dieting and working on building muscle mass played an important part in his weight loss journey.

In addition to this, there is also another theory that may be associated with losing weight. The previous season, Harden struggled with hamstring injuries. Some experts believe that this may continue this season as well.

Notably, the Philadelphia 76ers’ season opener against the Boston Celtics did not go well for Harden’s team. It ended up with a final score of 126-117 for the Celtics. Although Harden scored 35 points, it wasn’t enough on the night in comparison to what Jayson Tatum?had to offer.?
