The farewell Kobe Bryant paid to the game of basketball was something no one will ever forget. In the victory against the Utah Jazz at Staples Center, he delivered an iconic performance on the court. After scoring 60 points in the final game, Bryant made a Hollywood-style exit.
April 13th, 2016 marked the last time we witnessed Bryant on the court making history for the franchise. Prior to this, he revealed that the 2015-16 season would be his last with the team. It was the highest amount of points scored by a player in a player’s farewell in the NBA.

During his 20-season career with the Lakers, he saw ups and downs with the team, made many records, and set an example for all future generations of basketball players. He was surrounded by celebrities and fans at the time of his last game. Everywhere you turn, you can hear people chanting Kobe, and in return, Kobe gave his fans a memorable and worth watching the game.

Afterward, the star player told how he felt about his last game and how much he was shocked by his performance. A conversation with Bryant stated: “It’s hard to believe it happened this way,” said Bryant after attempting a career-high 50 shots in 42 minutes. “I’m still shocked about it… The perfect ending would have been a championship. But tonight was [me] trying to go out, play hard and try to put on a show as much as I possibly could. It felt good to be able to do that one last time.”
