As many old-school NBA fans are aware, Shaquille O’Neal has yet to take his foot off the gas pedal since his retirement from the league. Always zoned in on the court during his playing days, Shaq has not changed much in those terms as he continues to build his vast empire. An owner of multiple fast-food franchises and business ventures, the Los Angeles Lakers legend is set to revitalize a historic outlet of a $3.27 billion fast-food chain.

Shaquille O’Neal, a majority stakeholder in the Krispy Kreme franchise is set to bring one of their most historic outlets back to life. The outlet is located on Ponce De Leon Avenue in Atlanta, Georgia, and was famously known for donating 150 dozen doughnuts to Atlanta churches on the day of Martin Luther King Jr.’s funeral in 1968.

The Ponce De Leon Avenue store was struck by fire twice over the past year. However, the business entrepreneur decided to bring the once-historic outlet back to its glory days. Like many of the fast-food chains he is a part of, Shaq is set to bring this outlet to the very same level as well.
