Monday saw the culmination of the annual Met Gala 2022 event. In what was a star studded affair, Lakers and NBA veteran Russell Westbrook made a stylish appearance. Recently under the scanner for his performances, Russ continued to make bold statements off the court. Even post the grand coming together of stars, Westbrook showed up at Tom Ford’s after party. And his outfit left fans baffled.

Throughout the course of the season, 9-time All-Star Russell Westbrook struggled with his shooting. All in all, he averaged 18.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and 7.1 assists in his first stint alongside James. And although these seem like good numbers, mainstay LeBron James still had to shoulder a majority of the workload.

Being the victim of multiple costly turnovers, the 33-year-old was in the bad books of fans frequently. So much so that, he even deleted all his social media posts. Characteristically, the big question that remains is, will Westbrook be on the same team as LeBron James next year?

The moment Westbrook walked down the red carpet, there were bound to be fireworks. Whether or not they were for the right reasons, remains another question altogether.

However, the star guard has never been one to bother about what people had to say about his fashion sense. Following a sparkling 2022 edition of the Met Gala, Russ showed off his swagger with an asymmetrical black outfit.

Along with the likes of Karlie Kloss and Jared Leto, Westbrook shone at designer Tom Ford’s after party. As Ford posted himself, fans were left mesmerized by Russ’ fashion statement. Taking to the comments, several individuals praised the veteran NBA star.

This was a pleasant surprise, in stark contrast to all the criticism that has come his way off late. While one fan said, “Westbrook looks like a freaking model,” plenty of others were in awe of the ‘dapper dude’.

Regardless of what unfolded on the court, Russell Westbrook’s off court style game is second to none. Yet, will we see a successful campaign again for the star man? Moreover, will it be alongside LeBron? I wish we had the answers!
