According to a report by Tim Bontemps of ESPN, Butler wasn’t quite happy with the head coach’s decision of passing someone else the ball to tie the game.

“He looked me dead in the eye,” Spoelstra said. He added, “And he just said, ‘No. Let me be that guy.'”

By “that guy” Butler wants to be in the league of Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and even Damian Lillard among others who have single-handedly dragged their respective teams in the playoffs. Jimmy Butler surely lived up to those standards, as his performances were a sight for sore eyes. Many in the NBA community had dismissed the Heat’s chances against the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo, but they were in for a shock.

Although Antetokounmpo’s injuries prevented the Milwaukee side to perform at their best, it was still shocking to see them lose the series in five games.

Giannis Antetokounmpo on the Bucks’ shocking first-round exit

After the game, the Bucks superstar had to go through an uncomfortable post-game press conference. Over a series of questions, one question kept repeating whether Antetokounmpo viewed this season as a humongous failure. Considering the Bucks’ position in the league, it was a valid query from the reporters.

Subsequently, the Greek Freak was livid at the questions, as he snapped back giving examples of Michael Jordan to explain his point of view. “Michael Jordan played for 15 years. Won 6 championships. The other 9 years were a failure?” said Antetokounmpo.
