Looking back at LeBron James’ best Triple Doubles:

LeBron James became the first player to score a triple-double against all 30 teams in the league in 2019. One of LeBron’s most memorable triple-double games came against the Indiana Pacers.

The matchup saw LeBron James and Paul George battle it out all night long as the teams went into double overtime. LeBron had 41 points, 14 rebounds, and 11 assists that night as the fans witnessed one of the most entertaining games of that season.

The same season saw another Pacers vs Lakers cracker. Indiana Pacers met Cleveland Cavaliers in the playoffs during the 2016-17 season, where Cavaliers beat the Pacers in only four games. The third game witnessed a King James masterclass; he scored 41 points along with 13 rebounds and 12 assists.

Next in line is the encounter with Boston Celtics and the legendary Paul Pierce in 2006. James was part of Cleveland Cavaliers. LeBron James scored 43 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Pierce responded with 50 points, 8 assists, and 7 rebounds, but the Celtics fell short to the Cavaliers 109-113. This was one of many intense matches between LeBron and Paul. 

Cleveland Cavaliers faced the Philadelphia 76ers in 2018 when LeBron dropped another masterpiece. Despite losing the match 132-130, James outclassed every other player that night. He scored 44 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists with an incredible 50% efficiency from the three-point line.

The best triple-double of LeBron’s career came for the Cavaliers against the Denver Nuggets in 2010. The Denver Nuggets frontline was led by current teammate Carmelo Anthony. King James was simply magical that night as he dropped 15 assists in a single game, along with 43 points and 13 rebounds that same night.

LeBron’s 2021-22 season so far

King James has had a rocky start to the season dealing with injuries and suspensions. He averages 25.5 points per game,5.9 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game. Although LeBron James has been phenomenal as ever, his team has struggled to find form. The Lakers recently lost their game against Memphis Grizzlies, the game in which LeBron scored his 100th triple-double. James got 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists in that game. Last season posed lots of problems for LeBron as he has missed quite a lot of games due to injuries. Ankle and abdominal strains have been troubling LeBron since the 2018-19 season and it has caused LeBron to miss a lot of games this season too.

Lakers sit 7th in the Western Conference tables and they are certainly struggling. It remains to be seen how the Lakers and LeBron James turn their season around.
