The Lake Show, as nobody could have predicted, will have to pass the play-in test before qualifying for the playoffs. They’ll meet the scary and unpredictable rivals in the Warriors to fight for the #7 seed. And in case the Lakers come out victorious, the seeding will pit them against the Suns in round 1 of the playoffs.

Fortunately for the Lakers, they won all of their last five games to stay in a position where they have a home-court advantage. This would mean that the Staples Center, which hosted its first game last month where they allowed an audience in more than a year, will witness an iconic battle.

When is the game?

The Lakers will face the Warriors on Wednesday, May 19 and the tip-off will take place sharp at 7:00 PM EST. ESPN will broadcast the game while ESPN Watch will handle the Live Streaming of the match. On radio, 95.7 The Game will also cover the match while the live-action will happen at the STAPLES Center. Just imagine yelling ‘King James’ from the stand and finding him staring back (because the smaller crowd increases the odds of this).

Where to buy the tickets and what are the prices?

Apart from the ticket exchanging option, the tickets can be purchased either from the official team websites or from third-party dealers. Online sellers like Vividseats.com and Ticketmaster.com have listed tickets in the price range of $212 to $4628. At the Loge level (rows 7 and 8) that costs the most, one can enjoy premium seating at a price that’s in the middle range for tickets at the MSG in NY.

When the STAPLES Center hosted the Celtics on April 15, that marked the first time the Lakers played in front of a home crowd after the lockdown. At that time, the facility had taken in only 10% of the 18,997 crowd capacity.

Important guidelines to consider ahead of watching the Lakers game live from the stands

The NBA’s official website recommends fans download the official Lakers Mobile App to gain access to the ticket barcode. This will help the spectators to make a touchless COVID-safe entry into the STAPLES Center. Also, upon arrival, expect a verbal health screening and the officials asking for either proof of vaccination or a negative PCR report.
