The Lakers, after losing 8 straight games (including preseason), finally managed a victory. They beat the Grizzlies 121-118 in a closely contested night. However, even in that win, they almost lost LeBron James’ fitness to an injury. And now, it’s doubtful whether the star will show up in the next crucial outing.

The Lake Show survived another scare only because of a phenomenal play off the bench from Carmelo Anthony. But LeBron’s performance was also considerably good and it’s only unfortunate that he got involved in an injury scare.

Will LeBron James play in the next game?

The Lakers will next play the Spurs, who are on a two-game losing streak after a blowout win over Magic. However, they have listed LeBron James as probable because of right ankle soreness. Remember, this is the same pain point that kept LeBron injured for a major part of 2020-21.

In fact, the L-Train missed 27 games last season which forced the Lake Show to participate in the play-in and then face a dangerous squad in Round 1. So yet another injury in the same area and that too this early in a season is a major blow.

On top of that, the Lakers already have Trevor Ariza, Wayne Ellington, Kendrick Nunn, and Talen Horton-Tucker out. This can mean great business for Dejounte Murray and Co.

The Lakers would want to continue the winning momentum that came after a 40-point Ja Morant failed to stay clutch with his FTs in the last minutes of Lakers vs Grizzlies.

How did The Akron Hammer injure himself?

LeBron James played for a game-high 40 minutes against the Grizzlies. In those minutes, he managed 19 points, 6 rebs, 6 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks at 4/9 from the long range. All of that was extremely positive until Memphis forward (215 lbs) Desmond Bane crashed into the 4x Champion’s right leg before halftime.

This caught King James in pain but he somehow managed to come back into the play. Now, whether it was a good decision to be back on the court will be determined by the status of his injury’s nature.
