“Lakers Need to Hire Him”: Lebron James Union Beckons Again as ‘Fire Doc Rivers’ Reaches College Graduation Stage

LeBron James and the Lakers are still in search of a head coach. On the other hand, pressure is mounting on the 76ers to fire Doc Rivers. The 76ers took a hard loss against the Miami Heat in the second round of the playoffs. Joel was hurt in the playoffs, but after the Sixers went down 0-2 versus the Heat, he had to come back. After this loss, fans around the league started questioning not only James Harden but also Doc Rivers’s coaching.
This comes after Doc’s two consecutive game 7s in two postseasons. In the NBA Bubble, the Nuggets came back after being down 3-1 in the series against Doc’s Clippers.
Doc then signed with the Sixers as their head coach and in the first season, his team lost to the Hawks in 7 games. But it looks like the patience of the Philly fans has already been exhausted and some want him fired. Should the Sixers fire Doc, he could be in contention for the Lakers’ job.

Even after the presence of veterans, the Lakers couldn’t manage to make the Play-In tournament. The Lakers are now looking for a head coach after parting ways with Frank Vogel. This has now fallen in line with Sixers fans wanting Doc Rivers out.
And a Philly fan sent a message to fire coach Doc Rivers during his college graduation, and fans on Twitter had some fun with it. Here are some of the best reactions:

Doc Rivers got them to the second round, otherwise, Embiid would’ve exited against Raptors.

Though Doc has only coached the Sixers for two seasons, his last couple of playoff records seem to trouble his image. If Doc was to coach the Lakers, the veteran presence on the team might brighten up. LeBron James, who is sometimes the coach of his own team would appreciate a well-experienced coach on the team.

The Lakers need to make quite some adjustments to their roster, not only players but also the coaching staff. Doc won his first ring as head coach in 2008, with his Celtics squad. He has been coaching for 22 years and his experience with coaching players like Garnett, Ray Allen and others might help the Lakers.
