“Love You My Brother but Please Stop”: Following Kyrie Irving Saga, Kevin Durant Takes to Twitter After Ex Football Star Claims He Needs Help

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has been dealing with a lot of issues with his team right now. His head coach was fired without his knowledge. And then there is the whole saga with Kyrie Irving that had taken over the Internet recently. Amidst all this, Durant took to Twitter to address a former football star who claimed KD needed help.

The Nets have not had a great start to the season. They are currently 2-6 and have looked very poor on all ends. They fired head coach Steve Nash before today’s game against the Chicago Bulls. And that is just the tip of the iceberg.

The drama around Kyrie Irving has continued into this season as well. And his most recent antics have caused a massive headache for many close to his circle. Irving posted a link on his Twitter which led to a film that allegedly reflected antisemitic sentiments.

Kevin Durant responds to ex-football star

While this entire drama and uncertainty is surrounding the team, Kevin Durant has kept his calm, and he has been brilliant on the floor. In fact, the 33-year-old is one of the league leaders in scoring and has been the only consistent performer for the Nets. He has been the only bright spot in what has been a lackluster start for the Nets.

Meanwhile, in between all of this, a former football player, Gerald McCoy has asked the Nets to find more help for KD. He went to Twitter and said,Man I feel bad for my guy @KDTrey5 they have to get him some help man.”

Kevin Durant replied to McCoy’s comment, saying, “Love u my brother but please stop. I’m playing ball for a living, that’s really enough for me.” A large section of fans have displayed appreciation for Durant standing up for his team after all the trade-request drama in the offseason.

In the meantime, Durant has shown his class this season but his teammates need to step up as well. Ben Simmons has not had a great start to the season. However, he hasn’t played in over a year. He will need time to get back to his best. The Nets will also need to find a new head coach soon. Hopefully, they get it together before things start to go out of hand.
