During the ‘Warriors on NBCS’, Klay Thompson was pumped up after getting praise from all the analysts after last night’s game between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves. But Thompson took this as a chance to roast his ex-teammate Festus Ezeli.

Ezeli was with the Warriors for a few years. Before he became a sports analyst, he won an NBA championship with the team in 2015.

Though he was released from the franchise, he still has a soft spot for the team, especially Klay Thompson.

“Festus don’t know what we are talking about”, said Thompson, amidst the laughing panel. He responded to Thompson on Twitter and wrote, “Lucky it was my day off. Imma get you on the next show“. Ezeli complimented the NBA champion for his performance, “Love seeing you getting your groove back” and signed off.

The Warriors defeated the Timberwolves with a score of 137-114. Klay Thompson contributed 21 points. Tonight’s game got even Thompson excited.

Thompson acknowledged his team for being the personification of team sports, “where no one cares who gets the credits“.

Ex- teammate still roots for Klay Thompson

Ezeli also stood up for Thompson last year during the NBA’s 75th anniversary. Klay Thompson was snubbed from the top 75 list and his former teammate didn’t agree with that decision. He said to TMZ Sports, “Klay’s one of the best of all time. He’s the best shooter!
