After another yet successful year, Shaquille O’Neal decided to welcome a new year with a bang! The 4x NBA champion put on his ‘DJ Diesel’ alter ego and hosted an immersive VR concert, alongside celebrities and athletes like Cardi B, Lil Yachty, Rob Gronkowski, and many others. The concert, dubbed “Shaq’tacular Spectacular”, also included a performance from an old friend of O’Neal, popular rapper Ludacris.

DJ Diesel’s maverick efforts to bring forth a New Year Party through VR, alongside his famous friends, was a massive success. The show witnessed fans going gaga over their favorite artists, including a reignited fandom for 00s rapper Ludacris.

Ludacris is among the individuals who stand out in the long list of Shaquille O’Neal’s celebrity friends. The two icons have had an eventful history dating back to the Hall of Famer’s days with the Los Angeles Lakers. Unsurprisingly, the $35 Million worth rapper didn’t think twice to perform with his old friend at the ‘Shaq’tacular Spectacular” concert on New Year’s Eve.

Incidentally, Ludacris’ appearance at O’Neal’s VR concert has reignited his fandom on social media, after an impressive performance that night. Likewise, the Los Angeles Lakers legend also contributed to the movement by sharing an Instagram Post of an old clip of the Grammy-winning rapper’s fiery performance from back in the day, with his 28.2 million followers.

Shaquille O’Neal revived ‘DJ Diesel’ to put on a show for the fans to end the year with a bang and welcome the new year. He invited a host of celebrities and popular athletes. Moreover, the concert, dubbed “Shaq’tacular Spectacular” took place in Virtual Reality and was streamed through platforms like Meta Quest. 

The hour-long show featured a roller rink, a basketball court, a marching band, cheerleaders, pro roller-skaters, basketball players and much more. Dance-offs on a virtual dance floor took place as well.
