Additionally, they talked about how Durant must be feeling seeing his former team in the Finals. As a result of the conversation, NBA experts found it extremely likely that Durant feels left out of the Warriors dynasty with Stephen and Klay Thompson.

After the departure of KD, this is the first time the Warriors have made the playoffs. In 2019, Kevin left the Warriors, breaking the splash brothers. As for Durant, he has appeared in the playoffs with the Brooklyn Nets but has never progressed beyond the conference finals.

It makes sense that there is tension between the star players; especially because the Warriors, at the time when Durant joined, were on top of the league. During the NBA seasons of 2017 and 2018, the Warriors won two championships against the Cleveland Cavaliers after Durant joined them in the offseason of 2016.

Colin Cowherd’s thoughts on Kevin Durant’s departure from the Golden State Warriors

During this interview, Colin shared his views while mentioning what might have transpired between Durant and the Warriors, in between he also mentioned Durant’s relationship with Draymond. As Colin mentioned in the interview

“I really like Kevin Durant, I like a lot about him. I compare him to Aaron Rodgers a lot that he is more sensitive and a lot of people are. That’s good, I’m good with it, you know and I think he really does deep down, I think he does, I don’t think he regrets leaving, but I think he probably looks at himself and says man, I should have just confronted Draymond.”
