Despite the Boston Celtics losing to the Cleveland Cavaliers, fans don’t seem to be too upset about it. The game was fairly close for four quarters as the matchup had to go into overtime. The Cavaliers ended up defeating the Celtics in their second matchup of the season 114-113. Even as the Cavaliers came out on top, the highlight of the game went to the Celtics star Jayson Tatum.
With 10.3 seconds left in the final quarter, the Cavaliers were up 107 to 105. Grant Williams inbounded the ball to Marcus Smart. Smart caught Tatum on the cut to the rim and passed him the ball.

And Tatum ended up soaring to the rim and slamming a monster jam right on top of the Cavaliers center, Jarrett Allen to tie the game at 107 a piece. And if that wasn’t enough, Tatum came through on the other end of the floor as well.
The Cavaliers immediately called a timeout with 6.7 seconds left in the fourth. Donovan Mitchell had the ball in his hands for the final possession of the game. Mitchell took a stepback three to win the game but was blocked by Jayson Tatum to force overtime.

Celtics ended up struggling from the field
The way Jarrett Allen challenged Tatum for the dunk, it seemed to many as if Tatum did end up getting fouled. Even he was enraged over the no-call by the referees. But he made sure to not let that faze him as he came through with a game-defining block shot on Donovan Mitchell.
The Celtics duo did struggle for most of the evening from the field. Tatum ended the game with 26 points while shooting 8-21 from the field along with 12 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 blocks on the night.
