“Man, This Dude Just Came Off Being Injured for Over a Year and He’s Competing”: Warriors Teammate Was Embarrassed to Guard Klay Thompson in Scrimmages

The Golden State Warriors have really outdone themselves so far in the 2021 NBA season. Of course, Stephen Curry deserves credit for their incredible 25-6 record in the Western Conference that is keeping their head to head with the Phoenix Suns. It looks like they might get even more dangerous as Klay Thompson is expected to return in January.
In fact, the recent update given by Juan Toscano-Anderson about his one-on-one matchups with Klay is likely to hype fans up about his comeback even more.
Klay hasn’t played a game since the 2019 NBA Finals, before his ACL injury. As much as fans have prayed for his return, there is no guarantee that he will be the same player that they remember him to be. An injury such as the ACL greatly affects the athlete and it is why he had to sit out for so long.

How Klay Thompson is already embarrassing Juan
Klay has been giving sneak peeks of his workouts that have led fans to believe that he is better than ever. Juan’s recent confession about his practice sessions with him only confirms that theory. After their practice on Wednesday, Toscano-Anderson admitted that Klay has “embarrassed” him at times during the scrimmages.

“Klay is like that, he is one of those dudes,” Juan added. “We scrimmaged like two weeks ago, and I was guarding Klay. And internally I was kind of embarrassed because he was scoring on me. I was like ‘man this dude just came off being injured for over a year and he’s competing,’ so that just goes to say, he looks like he hasn’t lost a step, explosive, shooting the ball, a 6’7, 6’8 guy who is strong so I’m really excited to see him back out there, both as a fan and as a teammate.”
