Michael Jordan once made an inappropriate offer to former MTV video jockey Kennedy over a game of dice at a bar in New York City. The 49-year-old television personality recorded her experience in her book ‘The Kennedy chronicles’. Apparently, the incident took place while she was having dinner with Michael Jordan and entrepreneur and record executive Russell Simmons at Bowery Bar in New York.

Gambling has been one of the most enduring stains on Michael Jordan’s near spotless career. However, Jordan’s gambling escapades in the 90s are straight out of a picaresque novel. These stories depict how there was a completely different side to the six-time world champion, who was often touted as the pinnacle of hard work and discipline.
Michael Jordan makes an inappropriate offer to MTV VJ at a New York bar
As per reports, Michael Jordan once pulled out a pair of dice while having dinner at Bowery Bar in NYC with MTV VJ Kennedy and record executive Russell Simmons and made a proposition. In other words, the offer was that both of them were to roll the dice. If Michael’s numbers were bigger than Kennedy’s, she would have to come to Michael’s hotel room.
Kennedy was shocked by the indecent proposal. She immediately denied such an outlandish condition. However, she did agree to participate in the game. But without any absurd clauses involved.
Later on, Michael Jordan tried to play the situation off. He reportedly tried to downplay his offer by reminding her that he was married. Meanwhile, he also offered her New Jersey Nets tickets, the Fox News correspondent wrote in her book.
Michael Jordan has denied having a gambling problem in the past. But some of these instances that took place during his peak years tell a very different story.
Incidentally, Michael’s gambling misadventures made national headlines after his father’s murder in 1993. In fact, many press reports implicated the Bulls legend’s gambling debts for his father’s untimely demise.

Michael and Juanita’s marriage
Michael Jordan married Juanita Vanoy in 1989. Therefore, he was married to her when the alleged incident took place in the 90s. The couple has three children together: Jeffrey, Marcus, and Jasmine.

The Jordans filed for divorce in 2002, citing irreconcilable differences. However, they got back together soon. Later on, the couple received a decree of dissolution of marriage in December 2006.
