Renowned Hollywood stars Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s new production company Artists Equity is set to release their first project. The biographical drama is expected to take a deeper dive into the Nike-Jordan partnership. It will be depicted through the perspective of Nike executive Sonny Vaccaro and Nike co-founder, Phil Knight. Recently, Affleck shared details about his new project, where he would be helming in a directorial role.

In his recent statement shared by the media website Boss Hunting, Ben Affleck stated, “Matt and I are very excited for audiences to see Air and proud that it’s the first release from Artists Equity. Interestingly, the movie has been written by Alex Covery, whose first draft of the film, Air Jordan made it to the list of the elite un-produced screenplays in the Black List 2021.

When will Air release?

Air focuses on the birth and evolution of the association between Nike and Michael Jordan. The Jordan brand played a crucial role in establishing the sports and apparel brand worldwide.

Talking about recent achievements, the Jordan brand surpassed the $5 billion mark in annual revenue for the first time. Moreover, the Jordan brand has helped MJ become the first billionaire player in the NBA with a $1.7 billion fortune.
