“Max Is Only 19”: LeBron James’ Teammate Admits How “Old School” Drake Incident With a Lakers Rookie Became a Tough Reality Check

The core of the Los Angeles Lakers team is ripe with age. From LeBron James to Russell Westbrook to Patrick Beverley, who are all on the other side of 30, the Lakers significantly bank on these players. The team also has a bunch of young players. But apparently, it was a playlist that made their age difference so abundantly clear.

Pat Bev has been a new addition to the Purple and Gold team. The Lakers’ new point guard is a powerhouse of talent, renowned for his defensive skills. In the locker room, he brings forth the same kind of energy.

In the recent episode of ‘The Pat Bev Podcast’ with Rone, he talked about how he forced rookie Max Christie to put together a playlist for the team. But he set his condition. Beverley stated that the playlist must be almost 2 hours long and exclusively dedicated to old-school rap.

He demanded, “We don’t want no new school rap, right? Give us old-school rap…old-school anything. But Max is only 19.

Patrick Beverley revealed that owing to Christie’s young age, his version of “old-school rap” included Drake and 50 cents. Nevertheless, Pat Bev acknowledged his efforts and gave a shout-out to Christie.

LeBron James’ teammates rely on each other

Apart from song recommendations, Christie had said earlier how he looked up to LeBron’s teammate for guidance. Pat Bev had openly praised Max Christie for his willingness to learn.

Beverley is currently serving a 3-game suspension after “forcefully shoving” Phoenix Suns player DeAndre Ayton. Pat Bev confessed that it was an “unfortunate” incident, but he didn’t like that Ayton was taunting a teammate.
