In 2014, the Cleveland Cavaliers were getting ready to take on the Brooklyn Nets. LeBron James was still on his hometown team, and ready to please the crowds. However, this occasion had an extra hint of special. Notably, the members of the Royal Family, Prince Wiliams, and Dutchess of Cambridge, Kate Kate Middleton were in attendance. Likewise, the King of the NBA was excited as he posed for pictures after the game. However, it seems he took some of the excitement home as he photoshopped an image of their baby in his jersey.

The Royal Family is one of the most prestigious families in the world. Likewise, their arrival courtside became the talk of the game. And James was honored to share the same court as them. After the game, a 29-year-old Akron Hammer got the opportunity to get in a private photoshoot with the Royal couple.

LeBron James was too eager

When the news hit about Prince Williams and Dutchess Kate Middleton attending the game, the entire Cleveland Cavaliers team was ecstatic. During their practice session a day before the game, LeBron James spoke about the surreal opportunity to play in front of the people he had only seen “on television and the Internet and things”. Moreover, he wanted an opportunity to interact with the couple, which he got after the game.

And the Akron Hammer came prepared. Apart from impressing them with a win, James came bearing gifts. And one of them was a mini jersey with the number 1 for Prince George. However, the King was probably eager to see his gift to the young prince. Hence, he shared a photoshopped picture with the 1-year-old in the jersey he gifted.

However, the four-time MVP of the NBA also got himself into some trouble. During the photoshoot with the Royal couple, James had his arm around the dutchess. Unaware of the supposed ‘royal protocol’, the British media bashed the King of the NBA. But a senior communications officer at Buckingham Palace bust any such myths. She said both the Prince and Dutchess enjoyed their time, which included watching LeBron in action. Moreover, she said there is nothing such as the Royal Protocol.
