LeBron James has been a legend on and off the court. After making his debut in 2003, the star player quickly rose through the ranks and became a dominant force in the NBA. He made a name for himself pretty early in his career and his talent spoke for itself. However, it was not an easy road.
LeBron, even early in his career, spoke about things without caring about the backlash and that is why his success as an athlete and a sports personality is as grand as it is. LeBron’s charity is absolutely insane. He has spent most possibly nearly a billion dollars to contribute back to the society that gave him so much. Just a kid from Akron, as LeBron often refers to himself, has taken upon himself to make the lives of people better.

LeBron has started many projects that include the wellbeing of children, and a better level of living and lifestyle for the less privileged. His organization, the LeBron James Family Foundation and its partners, spend millions of dollars on different individual projects under the program I Promise, which is one of the many initiatives started by LeBron.
Even after such community work, former US President Donald Trump did not see LeBron as a “smart” guy. However, the first lady at the time disagreed with her husband.

Donald Trump openly criticized LeBron. After all, he tweeted it after James gave an interview to one particular reporter. However, Melania Trump, the former first lady, did not share the same perspective of James as her husband did. In fact, she praised the work LeBron had done over the years.
“It looks like LeBron James is working to do good things on behalf of our next generation and just as she always has, the First Lady encourages everyone to have an open dialogue about issues facing children today.” Mrs. Trump’s spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham, said.

The statement was in huge contrast with what Donald Trump said on his Twitter. He tweeted, “Lebron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon,” Trump tweeted in a swipe at a news network he often derided. “He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do.” LeBron had also criticized Trump openly before. Moreover, even in that interview on CNN with Don Lemon, LeBron utterly neglected the US president by saying that he “would never sit across” from Trump.
