However, in their battle against the Lakers, they may be short-handed with injuries pouring in.
Nikola Jokic causes trouble for the Heat
The Nuggets beat the Heat in their last outing and witnessed the reigning MVP Nikola Jokic’s ejection in the fourth quarter. Although that ejection didn’t impact the Nuggets, it did affect the Heat. Now, as a result of taking a shoulder-shot from Joker, Markieff Morris is suffering from whiplash and will be out against the Lakers.

Notably, Herro has improved big time averaging a career-high 20 points per game. Also, Adebayo is their primary rim protector, while Tucker is one of the best on-ball defenders in the league. This will call for additional efforts from Jimmy Butler and Kyle Lowry in order to produce a win against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Butler has been on fire this season. Averaging 25.3 points per game along with 2 steals. His dominance on both ends of the floor has been the main reason the Heat are strong. Plus, with Lowry, there couldn’t be a more perfect fit for him as the former is dishing out assists and has been shooting really well.
However, being short-handed, Lowry will have to change gears when it comes to his scoring. On the other hand, the Lakers are all over the place trying to figure things out. Still, Anthony Davis and Westbrook both are capable of taking over the game and so the Miami Heat shouldn’t rest easy.
