Michael Jordan accepted the Presidential Medal of Freedom in November 2016 at the White House. He was joined by fellow NBA legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Vin Scully and several other American icons. The medal is considered the greatest civilian distinction that the United States can give to its people.
