Out of the many rivals that Jordan has, one of them is Charles Barkley. An NBA legend in his own right, Barkley was known for his supreme rebounding skills. During their playing days, the two shared a bromance like no other. Although their friendship has turned sour in the last decade, the two still respect each other.

In a recent podcast, Barkley talks about the first episode of the documentary and what he feels about it. According to him, the documentary showed him what Jordan had to go through during the Bulls’ dominant run.

Although they might not be on the best of terms, that doesn’t stop Charles Barkley from respecting a legend. Talking on a podcast, Barkley talked about the Michael Jordan documentary and what he feels about it.

According to him, the documentary helped him realize what Jordan went through and also unlocked some bad memories of the time the Bulls beat Barkley’s team.

He says, “It was always great going down memory lane. I got to like episode 5 when they beat us for the championship, I was like,Oh sh*t that’s a bad memory.” But it made me realize how much Michael went through because a lot of these guys today don’t wanna compete, they all get together and that’s annoying.”

The 6th episode of the documentary shows the match between the Chicago Bulls and the Phoenix Suns in 1993. The Bulls won the match comfortably with Jordan averaging 41.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists.

How is the relationship between Michael Jordan and Barkley now?

The relationship between the two turned downhill in the year 2012. After a series of bad trade decisions for the Charlotte Hornets, Charles Barkley gave his thoughts on the decisions made by Jordan.

Talking on ESPN, Barkley said, “One thing about being famous is the people around you, you pay all their bills so they very rarely disagree with you because they want you to pick up the check… I love Michael, but he just has not done a good job.”

Apparently, Jordan did not take the criticism lightly.

As mentioned by Barkley himself, Jordan did not take criticism well, which has led the relationship to turn bitter.
