The NBA analyst and former player Charles Barkley shared a story recently that has caused a stir online. According to him, Kobe Bryant once took hours to criticize him late at night. Barkley had criticized Bryant’s Game 7 against the Phoenix Suns in 2006. This led to Bryant scolding him until 5 a.m. Since Barkley has always been bold in speaking his truth, he has become one of the most influential basketball analysts today.

In some instances, though, he may also provoke trash-talking from the players with a few comments. This happened when he commented on the late LA Lakers legend’s refusal to shoot the ball. Whenever you watch Bryant play, you’ll notice two things that will turn you into a fan: his dedication to the sport and his competitiveness.
