“Peyton Manning reflects on the impact of Kobe Bryant’s pep talk that inspired the Super Bowl LII champions.”
The NBA analyst and former player Charles Barkley shared a story recently that has caused a stir online. According to him, Kobe Bryant once took hours to criticize him late at night. Barkley had criticized Bryant’s Game 7 against the Phoenix Suns in 2006. This led to Bryant scolding him until 5 a.m. Since Barkley has always been bold in speaking his truth, he has become one of the most influential basketball analysts today.
In some instances, though, he may also provoke trash-talking from the players with a few comments. This happened when he commented on the late LA Lakers legend’s refusal to shoot the ball. Whenever you watch Bryant play, you’ll notice two things that will turn you into a fan: his dedication to the sport and his competitiveness.

A Kobe Bryant story was shared by Charles Barkley
This is not the first time a player has trash-talked back at Barkley, as he has been in trouble a few more times for his opinions. He shared how Bryant took his comments personally one time and hit back at him late at night.
“Remember that game when he wouldn’t shoot? We had that game that night, and Kobe started texting me calling me, Mo****, As**, you son of a b**. Jack, it was one of the funniest things ever. So we got that game and I said yo man as much as I love Kobe Bryant what he did tonight was total BS,” said Barkley, in the video.
