Air Jordans are the most glorified sneakers in the NBA. It was reported in ‘The Last Dance’ documentary that Michael Jordan was inclined to sign with Converse, which was the most popular amongst the players back in the 1980s. Sneaker giant Nike was just an up and comer in the arena of basketball shoes. Nike reportedly paid Jordan $250,000, which was more than double any competitor was willing to pay. Over four decades later, Jordan cannot stand people wearing anything but his shoes.
Michael Jordan was very peculiar about his sneakers. He did not let the supposed NBA ban stop him from wearing his iconic ‘Air Jordan 1’. DJ Envy once asked Michael Jordan’s children if their father allowed them to wear any other shoes. Jeffrey, Jasmine, and Marcus Jordan were all on ‘The Breakfast Club’ podcast talking about their father and his documentary.

Michael Jordan once threw out his 7-year-old daughter’s shoes
It is not absurd that Jordan did not let his children wear anything but Nike. He is quite a competitive person and is loyal to his brand. Iconically, Jordan once hid the reebok logo from the 1992 Dream-team Olympic ceremony outfit. Interestingly, he hid the Reebok logo with a United States flag.
