Michael Jordan and Juanita Vanoy’s feud is no secret. The couple had been on and off in their marriage because of their differences but had a mutual concern for their firstborn child, Jeffrey Jordan. Juanita’s lawyer, Michael Minton, had once revealed many details from their marriage, both before and during their divorce. Aside from Jordan’s NBA career, Jordan has been in the headlines for his marriage and personal life during his era, while making a name for himself in the basketball world.

Once, Michael Jordan spoke candidly about his marriage to Juanita, saying, “It was a big move getting married. It helped me mature.”

In several statements, Juanita’s attorney had discussed her relationship with Jordan, even in the early days of their relationship. He once discussed what had happened between both of them, saying, “She told me she was pregnant, unwed, and that the father of the child was Michael Jordan.” Attorney Minton recalled Jordan’s refusal to acknowledge Juanita’s claims. “She felt she could not get Michael’s attention or cooperation or response without the retention of a legal representative,” he said.

After this, Juanita hired Minton to call a petition against the NBA star. Juanita was pregnant before they got married. Notably, Juanita had a successful career as a famous model and she worked for companies like the American Bar Association and Heitman Financial Service. She worked as a loan officer when she and Jordan met for the first time.

The couple separated after 12 years of marriage with three children; even now, they have a mutual understanding towards their kids and provide a conducive environment for them.

At the beginning of their relationship, while it seemed perfect to the viewers, “they were having trouble communicating.” “Juanita felt this was something she needed to do,” said the attorney. “He was obviously not being responsive to her needs or the needs of the unborn child. It’s not something that if you ignore it, it will go away.”
