For Chicago Bulls fans, the recent outrage from Scottie Pippen on former teammate Michael Jordan won’t be too appealing. After all, the duo combined together for a historic era of basketball. Together, they dominated the NBA, winning six championships in the process. However, Pippen has recently gone on a series of rants against the 15-time All-star, claiming that he wasn’t a team player, and didn’t give players their due. But some resurfaced video clips will prove otherwise.

During their time together, Pippen and Jordan were practically unstoppable. Although Pippen was never really that close to Jordan, he always had enormous respect for what Jordan did for the sport. One of the best ever guard-forwards, Jordan became the franchise’s most prolific scorer. However, a star is only as good as his team, and ‘His Airness’ had a potent one. But in his memoir ‘Unguarded’, the 7-time All-star has destroyed Jordan. Did MJ really disrespect his compatriots?

THROWBACK: Michael Jordan showers praise on Scottie Pippen

In ‘The Last Dance’ series, many complained that Jordan went on to glorify himself, without regard for the team. Following this, ‘Pip’ claimed that he was just as good as Michael, that Jordan ruined the sport, and more. On the contrary, the 58-year-old has credited Scottie on multiple occasions in the past. In fact, during his Hall of Fame enshrinement speech, he took the time to specially mention Pippen in the beginning. In addition, after the 1997 NBA Finals, Jordan showered praise on his teammate in a post-match interview.

Regarding the now 56-year-old’s worth, Jordan said, “He’s prospered and moved along. You know from a financial standpoint, from a contract standpoint, he’s locked in. And he’s very deserving of the same $30 million dollars, whatever I get in the coming year. He’s very deserving of the same contract.” Having just won an award and a brand new car, the arguable GOAT proposed, “We share our success, and that’s what I’m doing to him. You know, I just want the trophy, I got enough cars. He can have the Nissan.”
