One of the biggest factors that made Jordan who he is today is his mentality. He was a born winner who could go to any extent in order to secure a win. Interestingly enough, he was known for being an upright leader in the dressing room.

However, Jordan also had a soft side. This is clear from an incident described by Cheryl Rae-Stout, an eminent public figure in Chicago. During his early days in the NBA, children from the Make-A-Wish foundation would visit Jordan in the locker room.

Cheryl said, “I’ll never forget this little girl. She was maybe about four, and he sat with her and just talked with her. We kept our distance to give them privacy, but we could see the exchange. When they finished, the little girl left, and Michael, tears just came down his face. It was really emotional to see.”

The aforementioned interaction shows the soft side that is present behind the upright nature of Michael Jordan. In 2016, he surprised a fan suffering from autism after the latter went viral on the internet.
