Hasan Minhaj does not get a warm welcome from Michael Jordan

While on the Jimmy Kimmel show, Minhaj explained his attempt to high five Jordan. He started off the story how the All-Star game is really important to him and he didn’t get the invite in 2007. But he got news about MJ being in the famous Bellagio casino to celebrate his birthday in 2007. So, he took a drive all the way to Vegas to get a chance to meet him.

As he got to the casino, he made his way past the crowd. But a big obstacle stood in front of him. The entry cost for the night went on to be a $1000. So Minhaj took the wise call and decided for Jordan to make his way out. After waiting till almost 3 in the morning, he finally saw Jordan coming out in his suit. So he sprinted right towards him. But things did not go well from there on out.

He narrated saying: “I just see him and I sprint towards Mike.” Minhaj continued, “And I just reach out. I’m reaching out for a high five. Like, I want his chocolaty hand to touch my chocolaty hand. Just like validate me. And he sees me. Then he nods to his security guard, and his security guard grabs me by the neck, just lifts me up and boom! Just body slams me into the ground and the whole casino stops.”

While MJ has his fair share of mean moves, this can’t count for one. In this situation, from Jordan’s point, he is only seeing a man run right towards him. MJ mustn’t be aware of who Minhaj was and told his security to stop him. Jordan doesn’t have many off court instances. But with his fan following. it is understandable for him to keep this strict approach.
