Luka Doncic has already established himself as the best player under the age of 25 in the league. But right now it looks like the sky is the limit for him. By the time the NBA Playoffs are over, there is a huge possibility that Luka, may also stake a claim for being the best player in the league. And former player John Salley had a perfect comparison for Luka.
John Salley, in a recent interview, had this to say about Luka. He said, “I would be afraid to play against Luka I am telling you personally.. that’s how good he is”. Salley continued, “And I know Larry Bird … he is this much below Larry Bird (makes hand gestures)… but Larry Bird would put fear in me and everyone else just like Luka does”.

This is huge praise for Luka from a four-time NBA Champion. Luka is still only in his fourth year but has continued to improve his game every following season.

Is Luka Doncic the next face of the league?
Atlanta Hawks selected Luka third overall in the 2018 NBA Draft while the Dallas Mavericks selected Trae Young the fifth overall. But the teams traded Luka and Young for each other. And the Hawks received an additional player for Luka.
Dallas selected Luka hoping we would eventually replace franchise legend Dirk Nowitzki, and Luka has done that so far. He has already made three consecutive All-Star teams. He has also been named All-NBA First team two times in his young career.

After two consecutive first-round playoff losses to the LA Clippers, this is the first time Dallas has reached the Western Conference Finals since their championship run in 2011. They will face a tough opponent in the Golden State Warriors.
